About
What is mom-centric family nutrition? It's happy mamas raising healthy babies!
Motherhood is a journey of continually stepping (more often, being shoved) out of your comfort zone - that courage to keep at it every day makes you a hero. But...
If you're ready to find that super-mom strength and knowledge I know you have, I'm here to be your guide, motivator, teacher, and mom-friend!
A little About Me...
My mission at Michelle Beckner Family Wellness is to help moms feel like themselves again through mindset and diet changes so that they can take care of their babies and get healthy meals on the table. I help moms navigate our stressful, fast-paced lives full of convenience foods and conflicting ideas about what is healthy or not. Whether you want to get your health (and sanity!) back for the sake of your kids or you want your kids to be healthy for the sake of their own future, I’ve got what you need. You’ll quickly see that taking care of yourself will automatically reflect onto your children, and vice versa.
How do I know this? My own journey started when we discovered my daughter Genevieve had a dairy allergy when she was about 4 months old. Up until then, I felt like I led a pretty healthy life and enjoyed healthy food – I had even already lost all of my pregnancy weight (ok fine, the last five pounds were lost from a bout of food poisoning). Cutting dairy out of my diet was a big change. My first thought was the loss of my giant morning bowl of cereal that I had been eating almost every day for as long as I can remember (plus, my more-often-than-not after dinner bowl of cereal for dessert). Then there was the pizza, ice cream, and worst of all – essentially every delicious baked good. All of it off limits!
Of course this led me to start researching dairy free recipes; where I came across some really amazing blogs and websites (two of my favorites are iquitsugar.com and ohsheglows.com). I kept learning more and more and started changing what I was eating on top of cutting out dairy. I learned that cow’s milk really isn’t as necessary as the “milk, it does a body good” campaigns had been telling me my whole life. I learned that fat isn’t the enemy, sugar is. Before I knew it, I had lost 10 more pounds without even trying! Plus my skin was beautiful (if I do say so myself…) and clear for the first time in my life, I had more energy throughout the day, and I was feeling GOOD. My body was thanking me for really taking care of it.
When it came time to start feeding Genevieve solid foods, I had a good foundation of what was actually healthy. And I am so darn proud of myself for setting my daughter up for a healthy life right from the start. No, my daughter doesn't always like broccoli and yes she gets excited about ice cream (she grew out of her dairy allergy by her first birthday); but she loves green smoothies and beet pancakes and she can have a couple bites of a treat then decide she’s had enough. Now I am ready to take on the journey of raising another happy, healthy eater with my son Bradley, who also had a dairy allergy until he was 8 months old. I'd love for you to join me!
Through my own research, experience, and training with the Institute of Transformational Nutrition, I have so much (!!!) knowledge that I can’t wait to share with as many people as I can! (that includes you!)
Feeding your family whole, nutritious, and healthy foods doesn’t have to be stressful and time consuming, in fact, it should be the opposite! So, if you’re ready to feel good, look good, and stop stressing about what to feed your kids, I’m the mama to help you do just that!

- Do you feel like you're pushing your own needs aside, in order to be that hero?
- Are you having a hard time finding the willpower to stick to a dairy (soy/egg/nut, etc.) free diet for your baby with allergies?
- Are you questioning your superhero mommy instincts when it comes to what to feed your baby?
